Healing Sexual Trauma With Energy Healing
My story
When I was 23, I began to recover repressed memories of childhood sexual trauma. At 27, I had a massive energetic awakening into my own healing gifts that defined and shifted my relationship to my trauma, my sexuality, my higher self, and my life. For the first time ever, I was creating a version of me that was living outside the confines of those childhood experiences.
I spent a huge part of my life feeling completely unsafe in my body. I would cover my body with sweatshirts and baggy clothing, I didn’t enjoy anything “girly”, I hated attention or people looking at my body, and I whole-heartedly avoided male cashiers until I was in my mid-20’s.
As I grew up and learned more about my experiences, I realized how so man of these things were the ripple effect of those sexually traumatic experiences.
A psychic & energetic perspective on sexual trauma
On the psychic and energetic side of things, as I had my own psychic awakening and began to be able to energetically see into my own energy (as well as my clients) I saw just how much of sexual trauma is energetic. When I began to use my own healing abilities on myself to clear the trauma, so much of it was energetic.
I realized pretty quickly that while processing it consciously in therapy or in a coaching session was really helpful to me, even with modalities like subconscious releasing, which I enjoyed, the weight of what happened was still there energetically.
I had a big lightbulb moment.
What if I just skip the other stuff, and start to release energetically?
So I did.
I worked through layers and layers of energetic debris, healing and clearing, and triggers I didn’t even really realize I had disappeared. I started to feel safe in my body. I started to feel in control. It was like these old boundaries that had been placed around me, like invisible energetic fences, had been evaporated. I was able to run free, like a f*cking stallion.
The Womb Frequency
The womb is like an energetic amplifier. Any energy you have inside of your womb space will be energetically amplified up and it will radiate into your aura. It gets amplified.
What does this mean exactly? It means that if you’re holding shame in your womb, the feelings of shame will be amplified. If you’re storing guilt and fear in your womb, those will be amplified, too.
Trauma healing on the cellular level
We hold trauma in our cells. Triggers happen when trauma is activated on the cellular level. It’s like hitting a gong and listening to the sound echo for a few, long beats. When we clear trauma on the energetic level, the “gong” alleviates. What does this mean? We can use that mental energy and energy space to create something new. To be someone different. To get closer to our goals, desires, and visions. To truly create a life and a purpose disconnected from trauma, and flush in the fullness of who we truly are.
Energy Work & Healing Sexual Trauma
If we understand that part of our sexual trauma healing journey is deeply energetic, how do we heal?
In my experience, having done this work on myself for sexual trauma, one of the practices that helped me the most was deep energetic clearing work. It was energy work designed to clear old trauma, blocks, and patterns connected to my past sexual trauma experiences.
This work is great if you are dealing with symptoms & patterns such as:
- Not feeling safe in your body
- Fear of the trauma/assault happening again or assailants returning to repeat the assaults
- Not feeling safe to be in your beauty or to get any attention (especially from men)
- Fear of being seen in your body, your sexuality, or your light
- Fear of speaking your truth or speaking up for yourself
- Guilt for experiencing joy or pleasure
- Not feeling safe to be your true self
- Inability or blocked receiving in all areas of your life
- Not feeling good enough
- Self-sabotaging beliefs and behaviours
The truth is that sexual trauma is an intense, impactful experience. It’s important to remember that you are beautiful in your light, exactly how you are, regardless of whatever experiences have been part of your life. The truth is that taking your power back means taking responsibility for your own healing so you can create, cultivate, and birth the life you deserve.
When you hold these old energies in your body and energy so deeply, as well as any ideas that are connecting you to past trauma and abuse, you don’t have as much energetic capacity to create a new life. Healing isn’t just about telling the same story over and over again, truly empowered healing is about growth and evolution. It’s your life. It’s time to reclaim that power so you can truly live your best life, now and forever, because you deserve it. Even if you don’t feel it, I promise you this, you deserve everything good.
Remember that healing is a journey. It comes in layers. Don’t compare your mountain to someone else’s molehill – but choose the role of the heroine in your life. Save yourself, which means being brave enough to look deeper into the parts of you that aren’t in alignment with your highest self, so you can make decisions and create from a more empowered, enlightened place.
