How To Connect With Your Spirit Guides

What are spirit guides, and how do they help ups?

Everyone has spirit guides. But, remember, we have free will. If we want to connect with our spirit guides for guidance on something, we need to ask. Whether or not we follow that guidance is our own free will.

Your spirit guide invocation

This is the exact invocation I personally use, and the one I give to my clients: “Thank you to my spirit team, my angels, my guides, for connecting with me now. Thank you for guiding me and assisting me.” This is the one I use if I need general support or guidance.

If I’m asking or needing something a little more specific, I’ll say this: “Thank you to my spirit team, my angels, my guides, for connecting with me now. Thank you for helping me with (insert situation, relationship, etc. here).”

The next step

After you ask for help with the invocation, pay attention to the guidance you receive. Guidance can come in several forms, including:

  • Visions
  • Gut feelings
  • Being drawn to ask specific people specific things
  • The guidance to check out a specific store (for example, the bookstore where you might find the information you need in a book you are guided to)
  • A strong intuitive knowing on what to do next
  • You randomly have a conversation with someone where the other person tells you exactly what you’ve needed to hear or know for a while (this is common, and guides help to orchestrate it)
  • A feeling like you know what the answer is

Overall, connecting with your spirit guides is a simple and fun process. The key is to become a great listener of their guidance, and the true embodiment of this practice is to take action on what guidance and messages you receive to implement their support in your life!
